We teach. We do not diagnose, treat or prescribe, and we are not a substitute for your doctor. Where something belongs in a medical conversation, we say so and we send you there.
About
The last ten years of a life should be worth living. We teach what makes them so.
The Longevity Series is an education company. We take what research shows about how people age, what may be changed and where the limits sit, and teach it plainly to people who are not scientists.
Why we exist
The decade nobody plans for.
Most people, in wealthy countries, will spend the last ten to fifteen years of their life in decline. Not dying — declining. Losing strength, losing independence, losing the things that made the years worth having. Globally the gap between how long we live and how long we live well is about 9.6 years. In the United States it is 12.4.
That gap is not fate. A substantial part of it is trainable, and most of what moves it is unglamorous, cheap and available to anyone. Almost nobody is taught it. That is the entire reason this company exists.

What we are
Education that states its evidence and its limits.
Every claim we make is traceable to the literature, and we tell you how strong that literature actually is — including when the honest answer is “we don’t know yet”.
Courses are our core business. If that ever broadens — a book, a curated product we stand behind — we will say so plainly, and it will never change what we teach or how we grade the evidence.
How we handle evidence
Our standard for evidence.
Most health content fails in one of two directions. It either sells you things the research does not support, or it dismisses anything that has not yet been through a decade of trials. We try to do neither, and it is harder than it sounds.
Strong, moderate, weak, or none. We publish the grade next to the claim, and we tell you whether a study was observational or experimental, how big the effect really was, and how many people it was found in. A large effect in 20 people is not a finding. It is a hypothesis.
Thin evidence is not the same as no mechanism. Red and near-infrared light, sauna, cold and hyperbaric oxygen are treated seriously here: we explain the mechanism, say where the evidence is strongest, give the parameters that matter and remain candid about what is unproven.
There is a difference between an intervention that is early and one that is being oversold. We are hard on invented numbers, miracle claims and products whose marketing budget exceeds their evidence base. That is not the same as being hard on a young field.
The evidence moves. When it moves against something we have taught, we change the lesson and we say that we changed it.
How we stay honest
How we stay honest.
If we recommend a product, a test or a service, it is because the evidence and our own assessment support it. Where a recommendation earns us a commission, we say so on the page, plainly.
Our evidence grades cannot be sponsored, purchased or negotiated. A product that fails the evidence keeps its grade — whoever makes it, whatever it costs.
None of this is virtue. It is simply what it costs to be worth reading.

The company.
The Longevity Series is published by Spine Store B.V., a company registered in the Netherlands. We are a small team of writers, researchers and clinicians-by-training, and our editorial decisions are made by the people who write the lessons — not by a marketing department, because there isn’t one.
